Peter and Parker

Peter and Parker, two inseparable brother cats

Two unexpected visitors

One of our local feeders asked us to help with an injured cat in her colony. When we arrived, these two walked out of the bushes and started rubbing against our legs. The feeder was not familiar with them, and in fact had never seen them before.

Finding the perfect foster match

We picked them up and immediately were met with purrs. Neither made any attempt to jump out of our hands. Needless to say, they both came home with us, and we were unsuccessful in our attempts to find out if they had somehow been lost or gotten out of a home in the nearby neighborhoods. We ended up fostering them for about three months and posted pictures and videos of these two inseparable brothers. They were two of the best fosters we'd ever had.

A family across the country

A family that knew us and had previously adopted happened to reach out and ask if we had any possible foster matches. We instantly thought of Peter and Parker. After sharing pictures, videos, and doing some live chats, they decided these two would be a perfect fit for their family. One thing: they live in the state of Washington (we're pretty far from Washington).

Taking flight to forever

But this was not going to be a deterrent. They scheduled the flight for both cats, purchased the approved airline carriers, and off we went to the airport on adoption day. It was a sad day, as we were really attached to these two, but so thrilled at where they were headed and the new life they were about to start.

Living their best life

We get periodic updates from the adopting family, and the brothers are definitely in the top 1% of spoiled kitties.
