How adoption works
Our adoption process is designed to be thorough but quick. From the day you apply, most adoptions are finalized within a week.

Browse
Look at our available cats and pick one (or two) who catches your heart. Don't see the right fit? Tell us what you're looking for in the application and we'll keep an eye out.

Apply
Fill out our short adoption application. Takes about 10 minutes. We read every one personally and usually reply within 2 to 3 days.
- 3
Meet
If your application is a match, we'll arrange a meet and greet, in person on O'ahu or by video. This is your chance to ask questions and see how the cat reacts to you.

Welcome home
Approved adopters take their new family member home with a starter kit, full vet records, and our lifetime support. See our bringing them home guide for the first week.
Adoption requirements
We want to make sure every cat goes to a safe, loving home. A quick checklist of what we ask of every adopter.
- 18 or older with a valid Hawai'i ID.
- Landlord permission in writing if you rent.
- Indoor only, or indoors with a secured catio or screened lanai.
- No declawing, ever.
- Resident pets are spayed or neutered and up to date on core vaccines.
- Household agreement — everyone is on board with adopting.
