About / Care standards

Our care standards

Every cat we place, whether for adoption or foster, leaves our care fully prepared. This is the same baseline for every cat, every time.

Medical

Done before adoption, no exceptions:

  • Spay or neuter
  • Age appropriate vaccines (FVRCP, rabies)
  • Deworming
  • Flea treatment
  • FeLV/FIV blood test
  • Microchip registered to you
Starter kit

Goes home with every cat:

  • A few days of their current food
  • A small bag of litter
  • A favorite toy or blanket
  • Vet records and microchip paperwork
  • A care guide for the first week
Lifetime support

Forever, not just at adoption:

  • Text us anytime about behavior, food, or vet care
  • Vet recommendations near you
  • Help troubleshooting introductions or new routines
  • If life changes, the cat comes back to us, no questions asked

What we won't compromise on

Indoor only

Hawai'i's wildlife, traffic, and disease load make outdoor life genuinely risky. Catios and screened lanais are great compromises.

No declawing

Declawing is amputation, not a manicure. We require adopters to agree never to declaw.

Pediatric spay/neuter

Even kittens are altered before adoption. It's safe, quick to recover from, and prevents the next generation of homeless kittens.

Return policy

A cat we placed is a cat we'll take back, ever, for any reason. We'd much rather you call us than rehome on your own.

Want to support this work?

Every spay/neuter costs us $80 to $150. Donations directly fund medical care for the next cat.
